Swim Spa Kickboard Resistance Exercise

Swim spa exercises are designed to help you improve strength and fitness levels in the convenience of your backyard or home. While some people do not have their own swim spas, others are able to install ones to interact with on a daily basis. While the jets and bubbles in the swim spa help to soothe and relax muscles, many people use swim spas to perform exercises and stretches that are too hard on their joints and muscles outside of the water.
This kickboard resistance exercise is designed to strengthen your legs and increase your endurance levels. Grab a kickboard and wade into one side of the swim spa. Turn on the jets and current, giving yourself a moderate level of resistance to swim against. From here, extend your arms out with your board in hands and begin to paddle. Paddle at a consistent speed by maintaining the same position in the spa the entire time. Perform this exercise for five to 10 minutes, depending on your current fitness level. As you improve, increase both the strength of the current and the duration of your exercise.
